Professional Portraits

Albert thought about becoming a professional photographer, with a studio in Wales. I found this out while working on the large glass negatives. There were eight boxes in all containing portraits and some interesting stage sets, plus two photos of drawings. The first two photos here are his studio plans, followed by the first large plate I had photographed, with the remainder of that group of shots. The selection then goes onto the last group of glass plates found on that elusive top shelf. It was crammed full of the type of card boxes I showed in the introduction. I ended up copying the contents of 62 boxes; there were more, often duplicates, which I also examined. There were no notes in any of the boxes, so the sitters for the most part will just have to remain anonymous.
